Cardiologist Physician
Detects and treats heart and blood vessel disease in infants, children, and teenagers. Conducts physical exams, which may include an X-ray, electrocardiogram, Doppler echocardiography, exercise testing, or blood tests. Detects abnormalities, plans treatment, and refers critical patients to a cardiac surgeon. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. |
